So I got Studio Culture yesterday in the mail and I was really put off by the design. 
Mainly the use of the large photo of each studio. At the beginning of each studio interview there is a large photo of their place of work and the interview starts on the page after (in the second photo above). My main issue is why did you put such a dark overlay on each large image. On those photos I can’t make out some of the larger details. I understand if they wanted to make each studio’s “main photo” look cohesive, but simply making them black and white with a higher contrast would’ve been much more successful. Not to mention every other image of the studio is at thumbnail size, which i also can’t see. Really disappointing. Function must be thought of first and this is the perfect example. I just really hope that the content is amazing.
